Intelligence that owns its own keys.
An organization of the PYTHAI ecosystem — AI for the knowledge economy.
We are cryptoAGI. We build intelligence that is native to open networks — systems that can reason, decide, and act using the same rails people use to hold and move value, without asking anyone's permission.
Most "AI" today rents you access to a model that lives on someone else's computer, learns from your data, and can be switched off at will. We think autonomy should mean something stronger: a system that holds its own keys, runs on infrastructure anyone can inspect, and answers to its user — not to a platform. That is the whole idea behind cryptocurrency autonomous general intelligence: intelligence with agency over open money and open compute, and no custodian in the middle.
- Self-sovereign by default. Keys are generated and held by the user, never by us. What we build is non-custodial — it can help you hold, verify, and move value, but it is structurally unable to spend on your behalf. Your coins stay yours.
- Local-first. The things that matter — keys, models, decisions — should run on hardware you control. No mandatory cloud, no phone-home, no lock-in.
- Open where it counts. The code that guards a user's keys, and the tooling others build on, should be free and auditable. Trust is earned by being readable, not by a logo.
- Native to the network. Prices, settlement, and coordination come from the chains themselves, not from an opaque middle layer. If it can be verified on-chain, it should be.
- The user over the platform. Every system we ship protects you, and never locks you out of your own assets. Every safeguard has an off switch.
cryptoAGI spans a few layers that reinforce one another — an intelligence that can fund and govern itself through open financial rails, custody value without a custodian, and run on infrastructure its user controls:
- Autonomous intelligence — agents and models that operate, learn, and refine their own procedures over time.
- Open AI infrastructure — efficient, high-throughput model serving and multimodal tooling that runs on commodity hardware, locally.
- Self-custody & identity — wallets and wallet-signature authentication, so a person or an agent proves who they are with a key instead of a password.
- On-chain finance — automation and protocols built directly on public blockchains, where settlement is native and verifiable.
Some of our work is public today and shows the direction of travel:
- OpenMIND — a native, local-first AI workspace: multi-model, run against your own models, on your own machine.
- Self-evolution research — methods for systems that improve their own procedures over time.
- Open inference infrastructure — high-throughput model serving and generation tooling.
- Wallet-signature authentication — logging in and proving identity with a cryptographic key.
- Network discovery & market tooling — public utilities for exploring blockchain networks and reading markets.
These mature in the open as they are ready. Much of the deeper work is developed privately and revealed alongside the vision, in its own time.
cryptoAGI is part of PYTHAI — AI for the knowledge economy — and works alongside a wider open network of organizations:
| cypherpunk2048 | the BTC Standard — non-custodial, client-side-key Bitcoin tooling (your keys, your node) |
| gnuGUI | free, GNU-spirited graphical tooling |
| Professor Codephreak | founder and continuing contributor — the originating work the ecosystem grew from |
| cryptotraderagi | trading intelligence |
| DeltaVML | the machine-learning stack |
| easyAGI | accessible autonomous intelligence |
- Non-custodial, always. We never hold your keys or your seed.
- No telemetry, no surveillance. Local-first means what it says.
- Reversible and honest. Tools do exactly what they claim.
- Free where it protects you. The code guarding your keys stays auditable.
