Codegeist Ecosystem

Product

  • codegeist - open-source Java coding agent, CLI/TUI runtime, tools, configuration, and native releases.

Reusable Developer Kits

Research

  • codegeist-os - AI-focused Linux distribution research with a least-privilege AI user.
  • codegeist-llm - compact language-model research for consumer hardware and Codegeist OS.

Account Infrastructure

  • .github - shared contribution, conduct, support, security, issue, and pull-request defaults.
  • codegeist-ai - source for this profile README and the public repository map.

Current Focus

  • Make the core coding-agent workflow useful, inspectable, and local-first.
  • Keep project behavior, developer environments, and AI-agent rules versioned in public repositories.
  • Support Java, CLI/TUI workflows, MCP integrations, local models, and verified native releases.
  • Grow through real usage, technical feedback, and open-source contributions.

GitHub is the source of truth for code, Issues, roadmap, releases, and durable technical decisions. Discord is for quick help, feedback, and sharing workflows.

Contributing

  1. Choose the repository that owns the change.
  2. Read its local guidance and find or open a focused Issue.
  3. Work in a small branch or fork and run the documented check.
  4. Open a pull request that links the Issue and any applicable local task.

The account-wide contribution guide applies unless a repository provides more specific instructions. General support routes are documented in the support guide.

Canonical repository checks
Repository Check
codegeist task cli:check
codegeist-agent-kit task test
codegeist-devcontainer-kit task check
.github bash scripts/check.sh
codegeist-ai/codegeist-ai bash scripts/check.sh

Account Model

codegeist-ai is currently a personal GitHub account used only as the public Codegeist AI brand account. It is not a GitHub organization. The codegeist-ai/codegeist-ai repository renders this profile, while .github owns account-wide community defaults. The complete ownership and release model is documented in GITHUB_ACCOUNT_MODEL.md.

Codegeist-owned profile material is available under the 0BSD license.
